Wonderful article about english colonialism, although many centuries ago, it is still a very difficult subject for many of the people of Wales in this new era, where many younger nations, were subjected to the english colonialism and occupation of their land, culture, national identity, as were we, they have found theirselves very confident and at total peace with their own country to go their own way, weighing up the future hardships ahead, countries such as, jamaica & other carribean nations, african nations, Kenya, etc. Australia, Canada, dominion status countries, Eire had the dignity and desire to follow their right to self determination as any country should have. Yet we in Wales, the longest annexed country in years, by the english, still abide by our lot england have very kindly afforded us.
Please, please, spread our message, whether in Cymraeg, or english medium ( it was not our fault in South Wales valleys, Welsh Not, placed around our great great grandparents necks for speaking Cymraeg, many years ago, perhaps we should have compensation and an apology from the English establishment for their actions in the past, like the carribean and african people are demanding). Spread the message and do not think that a Free Wales is impossible. Scotland will be independent I believe in my lifetime. Let’s try to see our country as well.
