The poverty panel

THE POVERTY PANEL

THIS IS A FREE EVENT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

About this event:

Almost a quarter of the people of Wales live in poverty and that includes over a third of Welsh children and nearly 1 in 5 pensioners.

But poverty isn’t just about a lack of money, it’s also about the effects that lack of resources has on people’s lives in ways that others often find hard to understand.*

Talking about homelessness, culture, women, and people with disabilities, the Poverty Panel is made up of four local people, each with their different experience of poverty and with ideas on what needs to happen after independence for us to rise up out of poverty. Come and join us.

About the venue:

Volcano is a welcoming and fully accessible artspace on Swansea’s High Street with cool art on the walls and a bar.
