Nabod Cymru - Swansea | 28–29 March 2025

Join us for a weekend celebrating all things independence, featuring events, talks, comedy, live music and more. Explore what Swansea has to offer with YesAbertawe.

Friday 28 March

  • 8pm - Entertainment from local bands, The Blue Star Stragglers and Omnichron at Sessions by Mumbles Brewery - formerly Copr Bar - (38-39 Castle St, Swansea SA1 1HZ)

Saturday 29 March

  • 9am - Breakfast at Jack's Kitchen (5 High St, Swansea SA1 1LE)
  • 10:30am - Guided Walks - Choose from "Weird Swansea" with Rose Davies or "Historic Swansea" with Robin Campbell and Dr John Ball. Both walks depart from Jack's Kitchen (5 High St, Swansea SA1 1LE).

All activities from 12pm onwards take place at Railmen's Club (42 Wind St, Swansea SA1 1EE).

  • 12pm - Activist Training - Training sessions for YesCymru activists on using Nationbuilder, Social Media, and Canva.
  • 1pm - The Economics of Independence, a talk by economist Dr John Ball.
  • 2pm - Break
  • 3pm - Panel Session - Chaired by Alun Rhys Chivers (Golwg360), our panellists Sharon Rose Taylor (Yes Abertawe), Chris Evans (Green Party) and Kiera Marshall (Plaid Cymru) will discuss who we are and why we support independence.
  • 4pm - Break
  • 5pm - A dramatised talk on the 1839 Ferry Disaster by local historian and author, Robin Campbell.
  • 6pm - Break
  • 7pm - Comedy from one of Wales' finest comedians, Noel James.
  • 9pm - Bring your musical instruments and your singing voices as we sing and play the night away.
