It was great to see members of Yes Caernarfon having a stall in the Caernarfon Food Festival last weekend.
With the help of members from other branches, including Yes Fflint and Yes Bangor, it was an enjoyable day with three music stages and over 180 food stands, with Yes Cymru right at the heart of the action.
According to Nia Hughes of Yes Caernarfon “The stall was a huge success. We gave out over 2,000 leaflets during the day and had many interesting conversations. We gained new members and the Yes Cymru merchandise was a big hit, especially the bucket hats which sold out. The stall was colourful and buzzing throughout the day and Accordions for Independence entertained us twice during the day in preparation for their performances at the march in Carmarthen in June. There were flags around the stall and one long, large flag over ‘Raber which was so striking that it could be seen by the thousands in attendance.”
Aled Jones, Regional Director of Yes Cymru, added “it’s very important for Yes Cymru to take the message of independence out into the community. Yes Caernarfon’s success at the FoodFestival is a good example of what we can achieve when we do this. Massive congratulations to the festival itself and thanks to the volunteers who have taken part today.
