The UK Government's betrayal of our steel industry

Bring pairs of old shoes to contribute to a poignant art installation to mark all the jobs lost in the steel industry due to the Westminster Government's neglect.
Port Talbot – Thrown Away Like Unwanted Shoes
To show solidarity with the communities of Port Talbot, we’re asking for as many pairs of shoes as possible to symbolise the thousands of jobs lost – each pair a powerful reminder of the people and livelihoods affected. Shoes can be dropped off at the YesCymru stall at the Independence Market in Barry on Saturday between 10am and 4pm, or brought directly to Port Talbot by 11am the following morning.
We’ll then set them out in Port Talbot as a poignant visual statement ahead of a major leaflet drop in the area. That’s why I’m asking as many of you as possible to step up and join us for an hour or two of Sunday morning leafleting, during which we’ll be delivering both a Port Talbot-specific leaflet and our Who Are We leaflet.
Our marches are a wonderfully positive gathering of like-minded people, and I hope to make my appeal to you again on Saturday. But for now, please dig out your unwanted shoes and check that you have nothing planned for the morning after the march…
Diolch yn fawr,
Phyl
