I joined YesCymru in May 2020 and started the Llanfairfechan group in November 2020.
I have previous directorial experience having been a director and trustee of a national parenting charity and as a trustee of a county voluntary council and believe that these experiences, as well as my experience of working in the third sector, are well placed to support and develop YesCymru over the next few years, and to ensure support and development for the groups and volunteers to continue their invaluable work to promote independence.
I have worked and volunteered for many different charities, companies and public services, including those supporting individuals with disabilities, new and expectant parents, heritage organisations and a youth justice service. These posts have mainly been supporting local volunteers and groups, as well as experience of engagement and campaigning.
My current role involves engaging with the public and service users on many issues including health and social care and has included facilitating co-production with many different groups with a variety of experiences and needs. This work involves working closely with local authorities, the health board and the third sector.
I have chaired and vice-chaired committees within a number of organisations, and participated in sub-groups including those on equality, diversity and inclusion and the future of volunteering.
I believe that my experience and skills are of benefit to the National Governance Committee and also to the membership development and group development committees.
